FX-DMZ, a leader Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) service provider for Media & Entertainment, is proud to roll out the latest expansion of its FX-DATA offering. FX-DATA 3.2 expands the number of companies and services monitored, updates the view of organization sizings to include artist and developer counts, and introduces the UsesInfrastructure relationship to connect organizations with their pipelines. As FX-DATA continues to offer accurate and comprehensive data, FX-DMZ is publishing 10 new workflow diagrams to help align product and sales teams from various backgrounds and get the most out of our industry data.

Leverage our rapidly expanding dataset

FX-DATA 3.2 builds on previous features by adding over 2000 new companies to the dataset across content and educational organizations. After being introduced in the last major release, 3.2 enriches company data with over 5000 service groups, 6000 organization sizings, and 8000 service types. - Compare the size of the market for services like Asset Creation, Animation, Compositing and more. Create targeted campaigns for Visual Effects, Virtual Production and Extended Reality service providers.

With this growth, FX-DATA's connected view of the industry becomes even more powerful, and businesses and creatives can make even more informed decisions about their products and projects.

Streamline your View of Sizings

FX-DATA 3.2 includes an updated view of sizes in media organizations. Organizations can now be segmented by their total headcount, as well as by the breakdown of important roles such as artists or developers. This allows customers to gain a more accurate view of the creative and technical sides of media organizations and support more accurate product and sales efforts.

Introducing Infrastructure for Organizations

In this release, FX-DATA introduces the UsesInfrastructure relationship, which connects organizations with the tools that comprise their pipelines. We anticipate that this feature will enable a variety of use cases, such as assisting tool makers in identifying companies with compatible pipelines and helping schools determine which software skills are in demand. Compare the use of real-time engines like Unity and Unreal Engine for Virtual Production. Track the market’s adoption of open source tools like Blender.

This exciting new feature has been rolled out for over 100 pieces of infrastructure and nearly 2000 organizations, with many more to come.

Align your Product Team with our new Workflow Diagrams

This latest release includes 10 workflow diagrams covering a variety of tasks involved in creating animated content and visual effects. The workflows detail the creative inputs of each step, the defining choices, the various methods and workflows that can be used to accomplish each task, and the connections between each task and the next step in the process.

Conclusion

FX-DATA is a powerful tool, and our new features will make it even more powerful. The introduction of infrastructure, an expanded view of sizings and services, our workflow diagrams and the addition of new entities will help businesses and creatives make informed decisions about their products and projects. We are excited to see how our new features will help professionals in the M&E industry achieve their goals.
